Washington State PTA Legislative Platform
46th Annual Legislative Assembly
The 46th Annual WSPTA Legislative Assembly will take place October 26-27, 2024 at Seattle Pacific University. This event will be an in-person event.
Delegates will discuss, debate, and vote on new issues and resolutions, including the adoption of WSPTA’s 2024-2026 Legislative Platform and Top Five Issues.
Mark your calendar today and keep an eye out for registration/delegate information.
Visit the Advocacy page to learn more about our new Top 5 priorities and the remaining eight also supported issues and visit the Resolutions page to see the one new resolution and which three resolutions were amended.
At its heart, legislative assembly is about participation. PTA members submitted new positions to be added to WSPTA’s policy platform, volunteers on the advocacy committee, resolutions committee and board of directors reviewed them, and delegates at legislative assembly amended, debated and voted on whether to adopt them.
This year, legislative assembly was a hybrid event for more inclusive participation. Delegates were able to attend and vote in person at Bellevue College or remotely. To learn more about this year’s event watch this video.
